A small apartment in a traditional casa di ringhiera in the heart of Porta Venezia becomes the young owner's first real estate investment and, at the same time, a domestic retreat designed to offer respite from the dense rhythm of city life.The intervention focuses primarily on reorganising the internal layout of a 26 sqm flat that, in its original configuration, divided the living and sleeping areas with an angled partition wall – a solution that further compressed the perception of the space and cut natural light in half, leaving the apartment dark and difficult to read.A bespoke glazed partition replaces the former opaque division, maintaining a clear separation between the two zones without sacrificing visual continuity. The transparent element allows light to flow freely between the spaces, alters the overall perception of the apartment, and restores a sense of depth that makes it feel noticeably larger. Natural light is now distributed more evenly throughout, clarifying the sequence of spaces and relieving the compactness of the original layout – while still ensuring an adequate level of privacy for the sleeping area.The project is completed by a series of custom-made elements – the glazed partition, the wardrobe, and the kitchen – each designed to respond precisely to the apartment's proportions, making the most of every available centimetre without compromising the formal quality that defines the character of the space.

Un piccolo appartamento in una casa di ringhiera nel cuore di Porta Venezia diventa il primo investimento immobiliare della giovane proprietaria e, allo stesso tempo, uno spazio domestico pensato per sottrarsi al ritmo denso della città.
L'intervento si concentra soprattutto sulla riorganizzazione dell'impianto interno di un taglio di soli 26 mq, che nella sua configurazione originaria presentava una suddivisione tra zona giorno e zona notte affidata a una parete obliqua: una soluzione che comprimeva ulteriormente la percezione dello spazio e dimezzava l'ingresso della luce naturale, rendendo l'appartamento buio e poco leggibile.
A ridefinire questa separazione è una parete vetrata su misura, che sostituisce la divisione opaca preesistente mantenendo una distinzione tra le due aree senza sacrificare la continuità visiva. L'elemento trasparente lascia attraversare la luce da un ambiente all'altro, modifica la percezione complessiva dell'appartamento e restituisce una profondità che lo fa sembrare sensibilmente più grande. La luce naturale si distribuisce ora in maniera più uniforme, rendendo leggibile la sequenza degli spazi e alleggerendo la compattezza del taglio originario, pur garantendo alla zona notte un grado di privacy adeguato alla sua funzione.
Il progetto si completa con una serie di elementi su misura – la parete vetrata, l'armadio e la cucina – pensati per rispondere con precisione alle proporzioni dell'appartamento e ottimizzare ogni centimetro disponibile senza rinunciare a una qualità formale coerente con il carattere dello spazio.
